WHATEVER LONDON WANTS
Gorillas, a startup grocery delivery brand that came to London in 2021 - have entered a saturated market, with every brand from Getir to UberEats promising grocery delivery in under 10 minutes. But, alongside their fresher food than competitors, they also know more about their customers than any other brand… and their data says it all. (There is literally one guy who ordered 32 Peanut Butter KitKat Chunkys and a bottle of Pinot Noir. We feel you, man). A year’s ordering habits of Londoners were fascinating, so we brought their most interesting data points to life in print and in film, using double entendres and innuendo. Both the film and print feature a cast of familiar London natives like illustrator Mr. Bingo, singer Hak Baker, and model Mia Wells - with the music also coming from homegrown Londoner Little Simz and the voiceover is Kennington-born rapper Sam Wise. Gorillas liked the campaign so much, they even used it globally.
And, it worked… With brand awareness jumping 1000% and Gorillas gaining the coveted title of Number 1 delivery service in London - which ultimately led them to be brought by Getir. Celebratory acid anyone?
